IXOYE for us who stumble in the light

God has planned for us to have Power

Miracle - Marvellous event due to supposed supernatural agency
Oxford English Dictionary 1978

The bible is full of examples of God's power; from creation to Revelation. This power is
often from God directly, as with the burning bush, (Exodus 3). It is however, far more
frequent that God shows His power through His people rather than through ten plagues,
(Exodus 7-11).

Jesus seems to take this notion a stage further by suggesting that we can choose
whether or not we have God's power, dependant on our level of faith. Matthew 17:20

Then when Jesus left this world to return to His Father in Heaven, he promised to send
His people a new source of power in the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8

So who is the Holy Spirit, what are these gifts of power, and what is their purpose?
